Application Deadlines:
Application priority dates are June 1 for fall, November 15 for spring, and March 15 for summer. Applications received by the priority date will receive primary consideration for the upcoming academic year.
Those received after the priority date will receive consideration only as funds are available. Students must apply annually for financial aid. HOW TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID:

Step Three: SUMMER ONLY

If you are applying for financial aid for a summer term, please fill out the Summer 91重口 Financial Aid Form

Steps 4 through 6 are required only if you are interested in applying for a Direct Stafford Student Loan.

Step Four: 91重口 Student Loan Request

Students interested in a Direct Stafford Student loan will need to fill out the 91重口 Loan Request form online.

Step Five: MPN

First time borrowers of a Direct Stafford Loan are required to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) 鈥 complete online at www.studentaid.gov (expires after 10 years). FSA username and password required.



Step Six: Entrance Counseling Form

First time borrowers of a Direct Stafford Loan are required to complete an entrance counseling form 鈥 complete online at www.studentaid.gov. FSA username and password required.




HOW TO REVIEW YOUR FINANCIAL AID:

  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Click on SIS: Student Information System
  4. Click on My Student Information
  5. Click on Account Inquiry 鈥 If taking less than 12 credits, use the white box outlined in blue to see Pending Financial Aid Based on Actual Enrollment.

You can also view your 鈥淭o-Do List,鈥 鈥淧ending Financial Aid鈥 and 鈥淥utstanding Charges.鈥 After your award has been made, your student account will be electronically credited with financial aid/loan funds. Typically this is 4 to 6 weeks after the last date to drop and receive a refund.

Any remaining balance will be sent to you from Nelnet via the method of your choice. Visit the Business Office's Electronic Disbursements page for more information or call our Business Office at 540-674-3605. Please make sure your current address is correct on the Student Information System. You may update your address online in the Student Information System (SIS), or in person at 91重口鈥檚 Admissions Office.
